Regarding what happened on the ground, starting as always with the northernmost part of the front, fighting has been reported today in the direction of Yampil', Bilohorivka and Berestove. In the case of the Svatove-Kreminna line, there are no important developments, although in the last few hours several videos y pictures of Russian prisoners, which at least indicates that it is not a war of positions entirely, but that there are continuous combats and attempts to break the lines, in this case Russian, by the Ukrainian side.

There are mixed opinions about another Bilohorivka (in red on the map) just southwest of Berestove, because there are those who maintain that it had been taken by Russia, although at the moment we have not found solid evidence. In any case, the town had been in dispute for some time, so it would not be surprising that the Russian troops and Wagner's troops together with the Lugansk militia had completed the capture.

In the direction of Bakhmut today the situation has been relatively calm. Fighting has been reported in the Odradivka area, south of the city. In addition, for the umpteenth time, pro-Russian channels have announced the entry of Wagner's troops into Bakhmut, once again without providing evidence. Most likely, it is one of the recurring actions in which they reach the outskirts of the city and shortly are forced to withdraw by Ukrainian pressure, although we will be attentive.

In Donetsk there has been little fighting in the areas of Krasnohorivka, to the north, and Mariínka, to the west. Attention is focused, as in the past days, on the Pavlivka area, where the Russians would continue fighting despite the large number of casualties. In fact, unlike yesterday, today evidence of the losses of the Russian 155th Naval Infantry Brigade has begun to appear.

Specifically videos in which the loss of battle and armored cars is shown, in some cases due to important tactical errors, like trusting the only road for miles around as a waypoint, knowing that the area is teeming with Ukrainian infantrymen with modern ATGMs, of drones observing and of artillery equipped with guided ammunition.

Thus, Russia would have sacrificed valuable units to achieve zero advances in an offensive whose intentions are not clear. It is possible, as we said, that it was an attempt by Surovikin to test the Ukrainian defenses and the reaction times of their mobile reserves. However, if so, the insistence is not understood.
